The Gothic Subculture:
July 2001 saw the completion of my M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from California State University at Fullerton. My M.A. project was entitled, The Gothic Subculture and the Role of the Internet. It was based on my participant observation within the goth scene in Los Angeles (and various trips to New Orleans) from 1999 - 2000. During that time, I had gone from complete ignorance to the true existence of such a subculture to membership (and acceptance) into this culture.
You can view my M.A. thesis on the Goth Subculture Here.
Please note that I am pleased to have the above link to my M.A. online. It is a large file and it is great to finally have this data available. There are quite a few outdated sites and hyperlinks as is to be expected.

Gothic Weddings:
You can read more on my gothic wedding in my M.A. thesis (how convenient). I am including a link to view my wedding webpage. More on the topic of gothic weddings to come. I am also open to the idea of consulting for wedding planning. Our themed wedding was a huge success, not only for being the idea I conceptualized but also the fact that it was CHEAPER than the "traditional" wedding and was completely unique!
When I was in the planning stages, I joined an online group for Gothic Weddings where many of us were planning a wedding October 2000. There are so many wonderful ideas for bachelor/ette parties, wedding, reception and after party that can be inexpensive + YOU!
